Hi, I'm Stacie Burgos, founder of Wimzee Avenue, a woman-owned online gift boutique where imagination, nostalgia, and wonderfully unexpected treasures come together.

Wimzee Avenue was born from a vision of independence, creativity, and possibility.

I believe in building a life on my own terms, creating opportunities for my family, and turning the things that bring me joy into something meaningful.

But I didn't want to create just another online store. I wanted to create a place that felt like something.

A place where you might stumble upon a unique holiday gift for someone you love, discover something that reminds you of your childhood, or find an adorable treasure you absolutely didn't know you needed.

Because I believe we could all use a little more whimsy in our lives.

Meet the Woman Behind the Whimsy

My name is Stacie Burgos, and I’m a mother, a longtime Central Floridian, and the founder of Wimzee Avenue, based in Ocala, Florida.

When I’m not dreaming up new ideas for the boutique, you’ll often find me enjoying the Florida sunshine or spending time outdoors. I love camping, hiking through the woods, and birdwatching—those simple moments when you notice something beautiful you might otherwise have walked right past.

Maybe that’s why whimsy feels so natural to me. A little bird perched nearby, sunlight filtering through the trees, or an unexpected discovery on a walk can turn an ordinary day into something memorable. I wanted to bring a little of that same feeling into the gifts we share.

As a mother and a small-business owner here in Ocala, I’m proud to be building something of my own while staying connected to the place I call home. My hope is that when you visit Wimzee Avenue, you feel a little of that joy, curiosity, and possibility too.

The Art of Whimsymaxxing

Around here, we believe in something I like to call whimsymaxxing. It's the idea that life is simply better when we make room for wonder.

It's buying the ridiculously adorable stuffed animal because it makes you smile. It's finding a thoughtful gift that feels like it was made for one very special person. It's embracing color, imagination, nostalgia, and those tiny moments of happiness that make an ordinary Tuesday feel a little magical.

Somewhere along the way to adulthood, we're often encouraged to be practical about everything. But who decided growing up meant growing out of joy? Not me.

I think whimsy belongs to everyone. Children, teenagers, parents, grandparents, and grown-ups who still get excited over something delightfully silly. Especially those grown-ups.

When I began building Wimzee Avenue, I knew I wanted our collections to be more than a random assortment of products. I wanted to curate unique gifts that create an emotional connection.

The kind of gifts that make someone squeal with excitement. The cozy little comforts that make a difficult day feel softer. The nostalgic toys that remind us of Christmas mornings long ago.

And whenever possible, I want to celebrate the people and stories behind the things we sell.

One example especially close to my heart is Bebe Moss, whose handmade crochet creations are crafted by artisans in Turkey.

There's something meaningful about featuring handcrafted treasures alongside the other playful discoveries in our store. Someone's creativity, skill, and careful handiwork become part of a gift that travels into another person's life.

As a woman who values independence and entrepreneurship, I feel a special connection to that spirit of creativity. I love supporting other makers and businesses while building something meaningful for my own family.

Because success feels even sweeter when there's room for other people to succeed, too.
